I had an hour to kill on Monday after work before a meeting, so I decided to run into Old Navy and check out what they had arriving for spring. Old Navy is sometimes a hit or miss for me, but I have to say I was loving everything I tried on!
One trend for spring that I am fully standing behind is this mustard yellow tone. Every corner I turned had bright pops of yellow and I have to say I was loving it. It reminds me of my nanny’s kitchen growing up in the 90’s. She had yellow counter tops and a matching yellow phone hanging on the wall. Oh, the good ole’ days and sweet memories….
Anyways, back to the clothes.
I tried on a few things, but time was limited so I didn’t get a chance to try on as much as I really wanted. I think my wallet and my husband will thank me later for that.
Y’all, this jumpsuit was only $15!!! It is a lightweight fabric and super comfy, which is perfect for spring. I think it will be precious with sneakers, sandals, or platforms. You could even throw a denim jacket over it when it is chilly. I am wearing an XS and love the way it fits. I tried to find it online, but had no luck.
Ignore my broken looking leg. What in the actual heck am I doing? This is why I’m not a fashion blogger.…
Let’s start with the jeans. I love a good boyfriend jean and loved the light wash and paint splatter on these. I will say I am wearing a size 0 and they were a tiny bit big at the back in the waist. Jeans are always hit or miss for me, but I think these would actually work if I had a belt. They were too cute not to share and are perfect for spring.
This basic tee was another one of my top picks. It was so light and I absolutely loved the rust color. It looked adorable with a jacket over it or even a vest! Best of all it was under $10 and came in several colors/prints. The size small fit perfectly, but you could always size up for a looser fit if you wanted to be able to tie it.
I also LOVE this military style jacket. I am all about keeping a light jacket on hand during the spring because here in Arkansas our weather is CRAZY. You might wake up to summer time and by 3:00 that day it might be 30 degrees. I loved that this jacket was light and not too heavy so it paired well with a light T-shirt or for cooler days you can pair it with a light sweatshirt like pictured below.
This graphic sweatshirt was soo soft y’all. Like I seriously LOVED it. I think it would even be cute with denim shorts for spring break. Sometimes it gets a little chilly when on a cruise or even at the beach in the evenings. You could easily throw this over a tank or bralette. It came in tons of colors and sayings. I am wearing a size small and it fit me perfectly. You could always size up if you wanted to wear with leggings. (I also think it would be cute to cut the neck out and give it a more off the shoulder look.)
Clearly, I only picked up the color yellow….because you guessed it, here comes another yellow shirt.
This top instantly caught my eye. I love how it had that girl next door vibe and reminded me of something from Madewell. It came in other colors, but clearly my yellow obsession was real yesterday and I grabbed this one. It wasn’t on sale in store so I got online and of course was able to get a coupon to get it cheaper! That’s a score in my book. I am wearing a size small and I loved the way it fit. I think this would be adorable with some off white wide leg capris. I found some online and I am real tempted to order them. I have linked them below as well. They come in a variety of colors too!
I also found a few things that I loved but my Old Navy was out of my size so I will be ordering them online and if they don’t work I can always return in store!
You can find all of the items I tried on (excluding that jumpsuit) below, plus a couple extra things I was loving!
